Makrys & Platys Gialos

Kefalonia
Makrys & Platys Gialos

Makris Gialos is the most famous organised beach in Kefalonia, with plenty of facilities. The beach is located in Argostoli-Airport road, 2 km outside of the capital centre, in the Lassi area. It is the beach that every traveler who likes organised beaches should visit during his holidays in Kefalonia.

The natural extension of Makris Gialos is the Beach of Platis Gialos (Wide Beach).

They are separated only by a few rocks. As a result it is possible to pass from one beach to another, by either walking or swimming.
The characteristics are very similar to those of the Makris Gialos Beach.
